On the 3rd of May 2007 a historic election saw the Scottish National Party gain a majority in the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood.
Soon after the SNP became the official party of Government.

About Osama Saeed
Osama Saeed is 28 years old and born in Glasgow. He has been married since 2001 and has two children, a boy and a girl. He is a graduate of Glasgow University and works as a tax consultant.
Osama has long been an active campaigner for civil and human rights. He spoke at the historic demonstration of 2003 when two million people marched on the streets of Britain. After the Glasgow airport bombings in June 2007, he was a principal organiser of the Scotland United Against Terror rally.
Osama has held leadership roles in many organisations including the Scottish-Islamic Foundation. He maintains an award winning blog, Rolled-Up Trousers, at osamasaeed.org and frequently comments in the print and broadcast media.
