Glasgow List - Sid Khan

Glasgow constituency map

I have been a member of the SNP for almost 6 years. I joined the SNP because I passionately believe that Scotland can be a great nation as an independent country with its people and business thriving economically and socially.

I run a small company in the construction industry and employ a small workforce. I have worked hard over the last few years to keep my business operating through the recession, giving me a greater understanding and experience of the country we live in.

I have a strong record campaigning on social justice issues which I care deeply about, locally and internationally. Social justice must be at the heart of our programme for government and I believe we can build on our achievements as the first ever SNP Government, presenting our case for independence based on our actions and delivering results with integrity, commitment and diligence in the areas that matter to people.

Commenting, Glasgow candidate Sid Khan said: “This is yet another resignation from Tory candidates and we’re under a week into the election campaign. I expected their supporters to see sense and ditch them in May but I certainly didn’t expect so many of their candidates to be jumping ship so soon.  It is just as well it is close of nominations tomorrow - otherwise they would have no candidates left!
