Anne was sworn in as an MSP on Thursday 12 February 2009 following the sad passing of Bashir Ahmad MSP.
Anne has been involved in the SNP for more than twenty years, in various roles ranging from Campaign Co-ordinator for the Glasgow East by-election, Director of the pro-independence 'Business for Scotland' and latterly as political advisor to Bob Doris MSP.
Originally from Greenock, Anne has lived in Glasgow for many years. She is deeply committed to International Development and spent 3 months volunteering in post-tsunami Sri Lanka in 2008. |
