Maryhill and Springburn Constituency - Bob Doris

Glasgow constituency map

Experienced, able and passionate about Independence. Making a difference at Holyrood.

In 2007 I was honoured to have been elected to serve the city of Glasgow as a member of the Scottish Parliament. I hold ten surgeries a month and I consider grassroots community work a key part of our fight for Independence.

My achievements include winning £5m of Town Centre Regeneration Fund cash for Maryhill, Govan and Bridgeton, and putting pressure on the council to deliver £40 per week for up to 1000 kinship carers.

I have also steered legislation through parliament claming down on unfair repossessions.

I help an ever increasing number of constituents who contact me about issues affecting them. I welcome all constituent enquiries whether they are personal matters or they are of a wider political nature.

Bob DorisSNP MSP for Glasgow, Bob Doris, has called on his Labour opponent to "up her game" as the Scottish Parliament election campaign officially kicked off. Rounding on a newspaper column written by Ms Ferguson, Doris called on the Labour politician to distance herself from the shameful politicking and blatant hypocrisy being peddled by the Labour party in the run up to the election.

Writing in a local newspaper, Ms Ferguson claims she has "supported action to deliver more apprenticeships and a living wage" when she actually voted against the SNP Government's last budget, which provided a record number of new apprenticeships.
