Kelvin Constituency - Sandra White

Let Glasgow Flourish with Independence |
I have successfully been elected to the Scottish Parliament since its inception since 1999, and topped the Glasgow list in 2003.
A long-standing member of the Wallace Society and CND, my commitment to freedom and eradication of Trident is known to all.
In my first contested election I fought and won Foxbar ward from Labour, securing victory for the SNP. A member of the SNP since 1983, my reputation for working hard is well known throughout the Party. I ask for your support to allow me to continue to pursue justice and Independence for Scotland. |

New uni funding settlement will follow election
All changes to courses at Glasgow University should be put on hold pending the outcome of the election, Education Secretary Michael Russell said today (Monday), as he met with student representatives to hear of their concerns.
Backing the call from the University Senate for a moratorium pending the outcome of the election, Mr Russell said that the SNP’s commitment to ensure no funding gap opened up with England meant there would be more money for the sector compared to the budget anticipated by the University when it first announced the plans.

Supporters of Kelvin candidate Sandra White yesterday took part in a day of action to mark the opening of her campaign rooms. The rooms, at 1373 Argyle Street (opposite Kelvingrove Art Galleries), will act as an organisational base for the campaign, as well as enabling voters to pick up information on the SNP's policies.
Speaking at the campaign rooms, Sandra White said: "We're on our way to an historic victory in Kelvin. Fewer than 1000 votes separate the SNP from Labour in the constituency. This is the kind of marginal seat we need to win to ensure the SNP Government and First Minister Alex Salmond are re-elected on 5th May." |
