Margaret has been politically active since her teens; has been an SNP member since 1989 and was an active union member for several years.

Margaret is 42, was brought up in Glasgow and now lives in Cambuslang.

Margaret is a Management Training Consultant; has had a 14 year career within the voluntary sector, and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute.

Margaret was candidate for Rutherglen/Hamilton West in 2005; council candidate twice and hopes to represent Glasgow Rutherglen in the 2007 election.

Margaret is Vice Convener and Organiser of Rutherglen and delegate to National Council.
