Sandra White MSP for Glasgow Kelvin, today congratulated the West of Scotland Regional Equality Council for successfully securing £10,000 of The Big Lottery Fund's Investing in Ideas programme.
The West of Scotland Regional Equality Council is a voluntary organisation and focuses its work on promoting good community relations and provides advice and support to ethnic minorities especially for the most vulnerable.
The grant will be used to undertake a research project in Renfrewshire and Inverclyde covering various costs, e.g. staff travel, stationary, project marketing and coordination, volunteer expenses and focus groups.
Sandra White MSP said: "I am delighted for the West of Scotland Regional Equality Council for successfully applying for this grant and wish them all the best for the future project."
