Sandra White MSP for Glasgow Kelvin today urged for the reintroduction of park Rangers for Kelvingrove Park after having received numerous complaints from local constituents regarding a recent increase in antisocial behaviour, illegal drinking and dog owners who are unable to control their dogs.
Sandra White MSP for Glasgow Kelvin said: "I am highly concerned that my constituents feel increasingly insecure in Kelvingrove Park. I have been in contact with Glasgow City Council asking to consider the reintroduction of park Rangers and I hope we will be able to take this forward.
"The new post holder could keep an eye on the spots where antisocial behaviour takes place and would also be able to advise dog owners to keep their uncontrollable pet on the leash. By reintroducing Rangers park visitors have a person to contact in case of an emergency, the overall safety will be improved and it will be ensured that all constituents can fully enjoy the park."
