Sturgeon congratulates BAE workers |

Nicola Sturgeon MSP today congratulated the
workforce at BAE Systems for their efforts in securing a large part of a new
contract to build two new aircraft carriers for the Royal Navy.
Ms
Sturgeon said:
"The workforce at BAE on both the Clyde and the Forth
should be congratulated on their efforts, which were crucial in winning this
contract. It was only a few years ago that the yards were under threat of
closure, but the talents and tenacity of the workers there turned it around.
"This award shows that Scottish shipyards can compete and win contracts
against stiff competition, and this is positive news for their long term
future."
