Yousaf says bus cuts can't go unchallenged
Humza Yousaf MSP held a public meeting this week (Wednesday 3rd April) to discuss the impact of recent changes to the local bus service. First Glasgow announced a recent change to their number 43 bus service. The change will affect residents in the Wellhouse area in Glasgow’s East End.
As a result of the meeting SPT (Strathclyde Partnership Transport) will be asked to consider subsidising the route.

This week Humza Yousaf MSP took part in Mary’s Meal’s Backpack Project. The project encourages people from across Scotland to fill a backpack of essential items needed for a child’s education in Malawi.
The Mary’s meals project provides a daily meal in a place of education to chronically poor children in countries such as Malawi, Liberia and Haiti.

Glasgow MSP Humza Yousaf has signed a letter calling on the Chancellor George Osborne MSP to scrap the Bedroom Tax in this year’s Budget Statement on March 20th, alongside SNP, Green and Independent colleagues, voluntary organisations, trade unions and disability groups.
The so-called ‘Bedroom Tax’, which is part of the Westminster Government’s welfare reforms, will penalise people receiving housing benefit who are renting a property that has more than one bedroom for each of the people who live in the property.
