Glasgow SNP MSP Bob Doris has today continued his support of the North West Women’s Centre in Maryhill with a timely Christmas donation of £150.
Following on from the launch of the 'All I want for Christmas is for the fighting to stop' campaign, Bob was delighted to present a cheque to this vital Maryhill resource. The NWWC deals with the impact of domestic abuse directed towards children on a daily basis.
Mr Doris said: “Domestic abuse of women and children is utterly unacceptable – there are no excuses. So, I am delighted to present the North West Women’s Centre with this small token, monies gained from completing an Ipsos MORI poll of Scottish parliamentarians.
"Visiting the centre was particularly inspiring for me, as I could see at first hand how the women offer invaluable support to each other. I fully support the excellent and invaluable work undertaken by the Centre, as it seeks to support many vulnerable women and children over the festive period. ”
