Bob Doris SNP list MSP for Glasgow has warmly welcomed todays announcement by the Scottish Government that they will conduct a review of clothing grant provision across Scotland.  Bob has placed several Parliamentary questions on this subject.

He said: "I am delighted that the Government have announced a review.

"For the second time in a week I am welcoming announcements which will start to rectify the endemic child poverty bequeathed us by the last Labour Government.

"Concerns surrounding the inconsistent approach to the delivery of clothing grants for children in needy families have been long noted.

"In particular with reference to the qualification criteria and award levels across different local authorities"

"I along with many others have asked the government to gather evidence on this issue and I'm delighted their review will enable this to happen.
