Cameron rejected by Scotland on flying visit
As David Cameron pays a flying visit to Scotland and Douglas Alexander calls for Labour to take a new approach the latest polls show both the Tories and Labour are struggling to make any ground in Scotland.
A Yougov poll conducted earlier this week shows that the SNP are leading Labour for Westminster elections by 37% to 30% as support for the Tory Government and Labour leadership hits rock bottom.

Insurers must end legal delays
The Supreme Court’s decision to reject insurance companies attempts to block compensation for people suffering from exposure to asbestos has been welcomed by SNP MSPs.
The SNP Government and Scottish Parliament passed legislation to allow compensation but court challenges from insurance companies have meant cases have been put on hold or sidelined while the insurance companies tried to overturn Scottish Parliament legislation.

Must apologise to impartial civil servants
The SNP today called on opposition leaders to drop their political attacks on the civil service and apologise to Scotland's independent civil servants after Sir Gus O'Donnell confirmed in a letter to three opposition leaders that it is 'right and proper that civil servants working to their respective administrations undertake the relevant work to support their Ministers to pursue their aims, whether or not these are the subject of political controversy'.
