SNP MSP for Glasgow Anne McLaughlin is urging constituents to get all the information they need about the digital switchover and to check whether they have the right equipment.

The local SNP MSP said: “In just over one year people across Glasgow will be switching on to a new digital TV signal and without the right television equipment or setup that could mean no signal.

"It is important that anyone who isn’t yet ready for the switch is thinking about whether they need to do anything to prepare.

“There is help and support available both on the web and via help lines. Additional Digital UK are running roadshows and surgeries in the coming weeks to provide as much help and assistance as possible.

“For those who already set up to receive digital I would also urge them to have a think about any friends or relatives who may need help to get ready for digital and point them in the direction of the information and support that is available in the run up to this big broadcasting change.”
