Nicola Sturgeon MSP - Govan

Nicola is Deputy First Minister for Scotland and Cabinet Secretary for Health & Wellbeing.

She has been MSP for Glasgow since 1999 and Glasgow Govan since 2007.

Previously leader of the SNP in the Scottish Parliament she has also held the portfolios of education, health and justice in the SNP's Shadow Cabinet.

Nicola joined the SNP in 1986 and is a member of the SNP?s National Executive, previously holding the posts of Youth Affairs Vice Convener and Publicity Vice Convener.

Born in Irvine, Ayrshire in 1970, Nicola Sturgeon studied Law at Glasgow University and was awarded LLB (Hons) and Diploma in Legal Practice.

Before becoming an MSP, she worked as a solicitor at Drumchapel Law Centre in Glasgow.

Sandra White MSP - Glasgow Regional List

Sandra has been active locally and nationally since joining the SNP in 1983, being councillor for Foxbar, Renfrewshire, for ten years before being elected as a Glasgow MSP in 1999. She is a member of the Equal Opportunities Committee and has served as Deputy Shadow Minister for Health and Social Justice and as a Deputy Whip and is a member of the Party’s National Council. Sandra'’s interests in politics are achieving social justice and the regeneration of Glasgow. She is married with three grown up children.

Bob Doris MSP - Glasgow Regional List

Bob Doris is an MSP for Glasgow and convenor of the SNP Glasgow Regional Association, a group of SNP members from 10 constituencies in and around the city who join together for campaigning purposes.

In February 2006 he was the SNP organiser for the Milton by-election for Glasgow Council which Billy McAllister won with a 15.1 % swing from Labour to the SNP.

Bill Kidd MSP - Glasgow Regional List

Bill is a regional MSP for Glasgow and a councillor for Drumchapel.

He has represented the SNP in numerous Parliamentary Elections, both Holyrood and Westminster.

He has also represented the SNP Trade Union Group on the Party's NEC.

His major political interests are the development of policies to eradicate poverty, job creation, housing policy and an end to the nuclear power and weapons programmes of successive British Governments.

Anne McLaughlin MSP - Glasgow Regional List

With a background in fundraising and communications Anne recently acted as SNP Campaign Coordinator in the Glasgow East by-election.

Prior to this she spent three months as a communications consultant in Sri Lanka with Edinburgh based organisation Challenges Worldwide assisting with post tsunami economic regeneration in Sri Lanka – specifically supporting an organisation focussed on enabling people with disabilities to gain employment.

Anne McLaughlin has worked in fundraising including work for Sense Scotland and Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now Cancer Research).

Anne McLaughlin has also worked as Managing Director of Business for Scotland and Internal Communications Executive for the SNP.

She is Convener of the Glasgow Regional Association of the SNP and contested the Glasgow Springburn seat in the 2007 Scottish Parliament elections.
