Scottish Power blow to Glasgow economy
Monday, 18 December 2006
Scottish Power HQ, CathcartAt Thursday’s Council the SNP questioned the effects of the potential takeover of Scottish Power by Iberdrola. This would be a huge blow to the Glasgow economy with loss of senior jobs plus the downgrading of the City for major business developments. The Spanish Company itself had said the UK was always the likeliest port of call because “that’s where the shops are open.”
