Councillor Thoms, who proposed a successful amendment to the motion, concluded by saying: “The eyes of the world will be watching Scotland on this issue. For Scotland to be seen as a progressive, forward looking country this issue needs to be positively resolved. I am proud to represent a city that is leading the way for others in Scotland to follow.”
