Labour continue drive for one party state |

At Policy & Resources on Tuesday there was debate about improving Council decision-making. This is part of the plan whereby an inner circle of 15 "elite" Labour councillors will make all the decisions while Labour back-benchers as well as opposition members will be excluded. An opposition move to have councillors included in the review process was defeated by 17 votes to 2.
John Mason said afterwards, "Not only are Labour aiming to exclude us from future decision-making, they are stopping us even discussing the matter properly beforehand!"
