The Glasgow SNP Group this evening welcomed new member, Councillor Ken Andrew, following his election in the Hillhead ward by election. The by election was called following the death of SNP Councillor George Roberts, who was first elected to the Council in 2007.

In May's Scottish Parliament election, people across Glasgow put their trust in the SNP – many for the first time – and we’re working hard to repay that trust.
Thanks to the SNP’s Council Tax freeze, the average household in Hillhead has saved over £300, and we’ve guaranteed to keep the freeze for the next four years.
We’ve put record numbers of police on the streets, leading to record low levels of crime; we’ve abolished prescription charges and restored free education at university.
And we’re investing in Glasgow – including the new Southern General Hospital and upgrades to the city’s subway. Work on Hillhead station has already begun.
SNP councillors across Glasgow are working hard for the communities they represent. The more SNP councillors we elect, the stronger our city will be.
With your support, Ken Andrew, will join the SNP’s winning team and make sure your voice is heard in the City Chambers.
Elect a local champion – vote for Ken Andrew, your SNP candidate for Hillhead. Polls close at 10pm. |
