Commenting on the withdrawal of Councillor George Ryan from the Labour party's selection contest for Glasgow East leaving Labour with no candidate and a cancelled launch event tomorrow (Saturday) an SNP spokesperson said: "Labour are not only leaderless in Scotland they have no candidate for this crucial by-election and their Prime Minister is refusing to come to Glasgow East and meet the people feeling the pinch from his policies.
"Labour's campaign is in disarray.
"In contrast the SNP's candidate East End Councillor John Mason will be campaigning in Glasgow East with Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond as the SNP's campaign kicks off."
