As the SNP takes to the streets for the last day of campaigning before the polls open SNP Candidate Cllr John Mason joined the ladies coffee morning at Garrowhill bowling club.
He was joined at the club by SNP Depute Leader and Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and actress and comedienne Elaine C Smith.
Garrowhill bowling club is in Cllr Mason's ward, an area he has represented for 10 years winning more votes at the recent council elections that any other Glasgow Councillor.
Speaking at the club Cllr John Mason said: "An SNP victory in Glasgow East on Thursday will send a strong message to Gordon Brown.
"It will put the East End on the map and make sure that our voice is heard.
"Labour has had their chance, they are out of touch.
"I have served the East End for 10 years as a councillor. I know the East End, I live in the East End and I will speak up for the East End.
"Over the last year the SNP government has delivered funding for 1000 more police, a council tax freeze and lower prescription charges.
"This election is a chance to send a strong message from Glasgow East to Gordon Brown and to elect a real local MP for the East End."
