Labour puts advice network at risk
Tuesday, 02 September 2008
Bailie David McDonaldGlasgow Labour have put the vitally important community network of Citizen Advice Bureaus and Money Advice centres at risk.

Former CAB-volunteer Councillor David McDonald explained that “the risk is that a big agency sweeps into town and turns workers and volunteers out on the street with nowhere to go. This happened in Hull.”

SNP Council candidate, David Turner, had this to say, “This is no way to treat volunteers and local residents who trust and use these essential local services. The Money Advice and CAB networks have saved hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years as they correctly advised tenants on how to ensure you got what you were entitled to.”
